28th Cieza City National Tennis Open "Pepe Ríos Memorial"

64 players from different parts of the country will compete from April 20 to 26 in the 28th Cieza City National Tennis Open 'Pepe Ríos Memorial' which will be held on the courts of the Cieza Tennis Club.

The tournament, sponsored by the Cieza City Council, was presented by the Councilor for Sports, Cristo Manuel Lucas, and the President of the Tennis Club, Matías Ríos.

This edition is also endorsed by the sports newspaper AS, which will provide coverage of the matches. The Cieza City Open is part of the IBP circuit, comprised of 59 tournaments held throughout Spain. The top 8 players on this circuit then compete in a national masters tournament, which will possibly be held in Cieza next year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cieza Tennis Club.

The Cieza championship is the fourth with the largest financial endowment, amounting to 3,500 euros in prizes, with a first trophy of 1,500 euros.

Registration will remain open until this Friday, April 17th. The draw will be held on Saturday the 18th, and the matches will begin on Monday, April 20th. They will take place in the afternoon, starting at 4:00 PM, except for the semifinals and the final, which will be played on Saturday and Sunday at a time to be determined.

On this occasion, the number of players belonging to the Cieza Tennis Club school amounts to 6.
