The Cieza City Council's new transparency portal, which was presented to the media and the public on March 15, "is achieving the objectives set by the municipal government regarding transparency and good governance, as required by Law 12/2014 of December 16 on transparency and citizen participation of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia," municipal sources emphasize.
They indicate that transparency policies must guarantee all available information from the council, as well as facilitate access and easy understanding so that citizens can find and access information quickly and effectively.
“The new transparency portal shows significant improvements and is proving useful to citizens. It has been visited by 3,212 people since January, recording 13,114 page views, with an average of four different pages per visitor. In May, this average number of pages visited rose to six, reinforcing our commitment to good governance and the political and institutional transparency of Cieza City Council,” the aforementioned sources continue. Likewise, “we value citizen involvement in this portal, as it is the essential cornerstone that makes open administration increasingly useful and necessary,” emphasizes Antonio Montiel, councilor for the sector.
All the portal's statistical information is available in the Citizen Relations and Participation section. Finally, the Department of Transparency "encourages all citizens to visit the portal and interact and propose whatever they deem appropriate."
