At 2:00 p.m., the 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center was alerted to a fire on an agricultural plot in the municipality of Cieza, near Venta del Olivo.
The Cieza environmental officer, along with the Cieza forestry brigade, firefighters from the Fire Extinguishing Consortium, and the Civil Guard were dispatched to the scene to regulate traffic on the RM-714, which had to be closed for a few moments due to smoke.
The fire was declared extinguished at 3:30 p.m. after burning approximately 6,000 square meters of agricultural land.
