At noon this Thursday, a fire broke out on agricultural land in Cieza, affecting part of the Atalaya.
Personnel assigned to the Infomur Plan, which combats forest fires in the Region of Murcia, have been mobilized to extinguish the blaze that broke out on agricultural land very close to Mount La Atalaya, in Cieza.
1-1-2 received up to a dozen calls reporting the fire starting at 1:12 p.m.
Firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium responded to the scene, requesting the involvement of personnel from the Forest Fire Defense Unit and aircraft.
Thus, an environmental agent, a ground forestry brigade, a rapid response brigade, and a helicopter from the General Directorate of Citizen Security and Emergencies with a heli-transported forestry brigade were mobilized.

About 6,200 square meters of land have burned, mostly agricultural land, with very little impact on forest land.
