The local government board has awarded the management of the animal center to the Cieza-based animal shelter PUPEC. This committed organization submitted the most favorable financial offer and has met all the administrative requirements stipulated by law, according to municipal sources.

The animal protection organization, in compliance with the requirements of the public administration, has provided documentation guaranteeing its technical solvency and that the service will be provided under adequate conditions.

The public procurement process, which began in January, following a unanimous decision adopted by the Plenary Session, has concluded with the award of the contract. It should be noted that the contract is for next year and is extendable for another year.

It's worth noting that the Pupec shelter has been collaborating in recent years with both the Cieza City Council and the previous service provider, "always striving to improve the animals' quality of life and helping in any way possible."

The aforementioned sources also noted that the current specifications have been improved and also include the provision of services for cat colonies. "The municipal government has always worked to provide good service in this area and improve it," the statement concludes.
