This coming May 3rd, Day of the Cross in Cieza, the celebration of the Absent Ciezano returns after two years.
The planned events begin at 11:00 a.m. at Cieza Town Hall, where nine residents of Cieza will be welcomed by our Mayor Pascual Lucas and José Balsalobre, president of the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ.
Afterwards, they will visit the Brotherhood's house where they will receive an award and sign their official book. They will then visit the Medina Siyâsa Museum, and the Municipal Folklore Center.
At 5:30 p.m., Mass will be held in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption. Afterward, everyone will be escorted to the Holy Christ of Consolation and taken to its shrine.
