Last day of competition of the current season for three teams of the Siyâsa Basket Sports Club.
The boys and girls were starting AROMAIS SIYASA MINIBASKETBALL Against Archena. A hard-fought match where the offenses prevailed over the defenses. The Archena team's superior physicality quickly gave them a 10-point lead, however, our team's fighting spirit never let them lose heart.
The game was decided in the fifth quarter, but they lost the last game of the season 69-43. Congratulations to their coach, Panos, on the season and the progress made by this fantastic group of boys and girls.
In Murcia against Infante 10, the second-placed team, they closed their season SAORÍN FEMALE CHILDREN'S ADVISORY. The match seemed unbalanced on paper, as we were facing a team with second-year players.
After the initial nerves, where the home team enjoyed leads of up to ten points, our players began to rally. Intense defense, effective offensive systems, and tactical dominance brought them within four points. In the end, we fell short, feeling we could have won, ultimately losing 53-47.
Congratulations to both teams for a fantastic match and to the Infante fans for their hospitality and sportsmanship. Our team's season ends with a historic fifth-place finish for Cieza women's basketball. Juanjo's girls have exceeded all expectations and proven that with hard work, nothing is impossible.
In the afternoon, our club played its last match of the season against AROMAIS SIYÂSA CHILDREN'S MALE facing Fortuna.
A hard-fought, evenly matched game, with a level of physicality clearly attainable by higher divisions, where competitiveness and sportsmanship were the dominant features. Despite an initial advantage for the home team, the game quickly evened out, with the lead changing hands several times until the home team's superior shooting and improved defense allowed them to finish the season with a 58-48 victory. A magnificent season for this fantastic team coached by Panos, which will surely bring much joy to Cieza basketball in the future.
