Cieza City Council will hold its first institutional event for LGBTI Pride Day. Since it cannot be held on June 28th due to an extraordinary plenary session, it will be moved to Thursday, June 29th, according to municipal sources. The event will take place at 8:30 p.m. on the terrace of the Padre Salmerón Municipal Library. The event will be presided over by the mayor, Tomás Rubio.

To this end, the municipal departments of Social Policy and Culture have planned several activities to commemorate this day, including the reading of a manifesto and a musical performance.

Regarding the celebration of this institutional event, "it will be done based on the commitment of the Cieza City Council to equal treatment and opportunities, recognizing the decisive contribution that the Spanish Constitution has made to coexistence, social cohesion and the advancement of our society and highlighting the progress that has been achieved over the last forty years in favor of the social normalization of those who have a sexual orientation different from the majority and/or identify and express themselves with a gender other than the one socially assigned to them."
