The mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio, welcomed Lucía Marín Guardiola, official candidate for Miss Globe Murcia 2023, to the City Hall this Thursday before traveling to the Canary Islands to participate in the national Miss Globe Spain gala.

The councilor took advantage of the meeting to congratulate her on her selection as Miss Globe Murcia 2023, a title she will also defend in the next national pageant, which will be held in Tenerife in the first half of September, and for which she hopes to compete for the title of Miss Globe Spain.

The young woman from Cieza is 21 years old and a model. As she explained at the municipal reception, she entered the competition in 2020 for Almería and placed third. She now competed in the regional competition, enjoying an experience that, in her opinion, "has been very enriching and has given me the opportunity to represent Murcia at the national level."

During her visit to the Town Hall, the mayor presented her with a series of gifts, including a T-shirt commemorating Cieza. Lucía Marín will act as the municipality's ambassador to prominent figures and authorities from the Canary Islands during the events parallel to the gala organized by Cristina Pulido.

The Miss Globe Spain organization has set up an Instagram account so the public can vote for their favorite candidate. To count the votes, the same sources explain, you must follow the @missglobespain Instagram account and then like the photo of your favorite candidate. The contestant with the most likes will win the national social media crown.
