The mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio, and the councilor for Education, María Turpín, held a meeting with the principals of all the town's schools to prepare for the upcoming school year. "The purpose of the meeting was to listen to them and offer our support as the 2023/24 school year begins."
Both the mayor and the municipal head of education have reiterated the Cieza City Council's commitment to education. In this regard, they stated that "education is a very important pillar for this governing team."
They also stressed the importance of maintaining a "constant and fluid" collaboration and dialogue with the school principals, since "they are the ones who best know the needs of the students and, therefore, can raise with us the aspects on which we can focus within our municipal powers."
During the meeting, the involvement of the directors in the educational programs promoted by the Cieza City Council was valued, the purpose of which is for the schoolchildren of Cieza to be people committed to their environment and their city.
