Nueva Fundación Los Albares and Inserta Empleo, the ONCE Foundation's training and employment entity, have closed this Friday the course for janitor assistant which, aimed at fifteen users of the center, has been held since September with the intention of increasing the training and employment of people with intellectual disabilities.

Among those attending the closing ceremony of this training course, which consisted of 153 hours of instruction, were the mayor, Tomás Rubio; the president of the Board of Trustees of Nueva Fundación Los Albares and councilor for Women, Equality and Disability of the Cieza City Council, Amparo Pino; the director of this regional entity established in 1996, Ana Sánchez; and the regional director of Inserta Empleo ONCE, Delia Torralba.

Also present at the closing ceremony were the employment advisor Celia Gómez and the teacher María del Carmen Fernández, who reiterated the "eminently practical" nature of this course, which consisted of three modules, "the second being the most important because it is focused on the functions of the concierge."

People entering the labor market

Pino explained once again that Inserta Empleo provides students with the professional skills that allow them to perform competitively in the job market and the development of personal aptitudes and abilities to achieve full participation in their work and social environment.

Rubio, for his part, stressed "how important it is from now on for the public administration to provide all possible means to open a gap that allows these people to enter the labor market; it is a moral obligation and a necessity for equality and justice."

Quality training and employment with long-term prospects and support for personal autonomy are the goals of this non-profit organization, which continues the philosophy of the ONCE Foundation, based on supporting a group at risk of social exclusion, opening the doors to a hopeful future for them.
