On the other hand, the JGL also approved in its last session the signing of a collaboration agreement between the City Council and the Cieza Peach Protected Geographical Indication Association for a total of 4,000 euros.
Tomás Rubio, mayor of Cieza, and Manuel Ruiz, president of the PGI Association, will sign the aforementioned collaboration agreement for the development of promotional activities and dissemination of the Cieza Peach brand.
The association's objectives include supporting the agricultural sector in Cieza, contributing to improving the professional conditions of Ciezan farmers and promoting the excellence of local agricultural products nationally and internationally. The Protected Geographical Indication Association will carry out the necessary activities to achieve these objectives, and the City Council, through the Department of Agriculture, will contribute financially with a 4,000 euro grant.
