The concert, for which tickets are now on sale, will take place this Friday, February 16, at 8:30 p.m., at the Capitol Theater. It kicks off the municipal program of activities organized by the Cieza City Council.
The great works of classical music will open this year's cultural programming. Bloom with a concert called 'Classics in Bloom', which will bring together the brilliant pianist from Cieza, Caridad Galindo Rueda, with the orchestra and choir formed by the Ars Nova Association and which will feature more than 80 people on the stage of the Capitol Theatre.
This concert offers the audience the opportunity to enjoy universal pieces from the orchestral and choral repertoire. The program includes Mozart's exquisite Piano Concerto No. 21 and a selection of choirs from opera and zarzuela, including the "Chorus of Slaves" from Nabucco, the "Triumphal March" from Aida, and the "Song of Freedom" from the zarzuela Bohemios. Soprano Patricia Dato Carrillo will also perform classical romances and arias.
On this occasion, Ars Nova is making a commitment to the great works of classical music as one of humanity's most brilliant cultural expressions. We believe that the artistic, emotional, and identity-based values embodied in the repertoire of classical composers make concerts dedicated to this musical genre always a cultural experience of enormous interest.
