Sources from the Department of Tourism have announced the tendering of a minor contract for the development and drafting of a comprehensive tourism signage plan or project for the municipality of Cieza. This contract is included in the Sustainable Tourism Destination Plan 'Cieza, much more than what you see' within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (funded by the European Union - Next GenerationEU).
The contract aims to develop a comprehensive tourism signage plan for the municipality of Cieza. This plan must include standardizing signage equipment and defining access routes to tourist resources to improve vehicle and pedestrian mobility, contextualizing physical and digital information based on its location and time.
The project must include signage from the town's main access routes and communication routes, as well as public transport stations, to the main tourist areas, tourist resources, natural spaces and resources, and archaeological sites in Cieza. In addition, the project will include the design of tourist and nature routes and the definition of signage for each of the tourist resources.
Cieza's comprehensive tourist signage plan
Ultimately, the goal is to develop a comprehensive tourist signage plan for Cieza that allows visitors to access any of the town's tourist resources, regardless of their mode of transportation, including pedestrians, and from all possible access points to Cieza.
Furthermore, the project must accommodate the mobility of tourist flows within the urban area, and throughout the entire municipality, toward tourist attractions. It will also include the definition of signage for tourist resources, the urban route, nature trails, and their access points. It must also take into account the digital tourist information systems planned for implementation in the municipality. All of this must be designed with the highest possible efficiency, based on accessibility for all people and environmental sustainability.
