On February 5, Ash Wednesday, the Junta de Hermandades Pasionarias held its traditional ash imposition mass at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, officiated by the parish priest and councilor, as well as its subsequent act of Solidarity Candles.

The eighteen brotherhoods and fraternities that make up the "Permanent Board" made, as is customary, an offering to honor and bring even closer together each of the local organizations that work every day to create a better and more just world. The purpose is none other than to recognize the social work carried out by each of our city's associations throughout the year.

This year, 2025, the aforementioned recognition has been awarded to the Red Cross for the important work they do to support and socially advance all those in situations of precariousness and exclusion.
