To commemorate the flowering of Cieza, the Vega Alta del Segura Health Area IX and the Association of Medical Artists of the Region of Murcia have organized the 1st Art Exhibition 'A Breath of Flowering at the Hospital de la Vega Lorenzo Guirao', where works are displayed with the theme of this spectacle that nature offers every year in the months of February and March in the thirteen thousand hectares of stone fruit trees in the Cieza municipality.

The Director General of Hospital Care, Irene Marín, inaugurated the exhibition in the hospital lobby, where she was accompanied by the Mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio; the First Deputy Mayor of Abarán, Jaime Tornero; the Mayor of Blanca, Pablo Cano; and the Managing Director of Health Area IX, Juan de Dios Cánovas; the President of the Association of Medical Artists of the Region of Murcia, Miguel Torralva; councilors from the Cieza City Council; and the painter Pedro Cano.

The exhibition features twenty works, all created by medical professionals interested in the visual arts, such as painting and photography, among other cultural expressions. It is part of the center's humanization activities, which, in addition to promoting creativity—in this case, with the support of the Association of Medical Artists of the Region of Murcia—contributes to fostering and protecting the physical and emotional well-being of the center's patients, professionals, and users.
