The Minister of the Presidency, Spokesperson, Foreign Action and Emergencies, Marcos Ortuño, together with the Mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio, visited this morning the fire station of the Fire and Rescue Consortium (CEIS), which has just added a new vehicle to its fleet.
Rubio explained that the new vehicle meets the necessary requirements for working in urban areas, specifically in the city's historic center, "since large fire trucks cannot easily operate in historic districts, where the street layout is irregular and the roads too narrow. Having a vehicle like this facilitates our access in case of emergencies or fires and, consequently, increases the safety of citizens."
The Community has invested 4 million in vehicles and improvements to the CEIS fire stations in recent months.
The regional government has also prepared the incorporation of 30 new specialist firefighter drivers.
The regional government has launched six contracts worth €4 million to improve the resources and equipment of the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium (CEIS). Key projects include the acquisition of vehicles, infrastructure maintenance, and firefighter training. The contracts total €535,000.
The Minister of the Presidency, Marcos Ortuño, emphasizes that this investment is part of the regional government's commitment to "investing in security with more resources and personnel."
