The Department for Senior Citizens reports that nearly 100 seniors participated in a social lunch this Tuesday to celebrate the arrival of Christmas and share good times in a relaxed atmosphere.
Also attending the lunch were the Mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas; the Councilor for Senior Citizens, Cristina García-Vaso; and the Personnel Manager for Cieza City Council, María Jesús López.
The mayor opened the meal by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and good health for 2018. During the meal, attendees were able to delight their palates with appetizers prepared by the senior citizens themselves, including "delicious gazpachos from La Mancha and a country-style 'gachamiga'" as main courses.
After lunch, artist Marcos Mora livened up the afternoon with his performance.
