The first edition of the 'La Floración' Poetry Contest has a winner: José Luis Melgarejo Molina.
The competition was organised by the Department of Education through the Council for Children and Adolescents, and the jury was made up of: Francisca Moya del Baño, representative of the Permanent Headquarters of the University of Murcia, Ana Salmerón Buitrago from the Los Albares Secondary School, José Carrasco Molina from the Diego Tortosa Secondary School, Manuela Fernández Alarcón, Councillor for Education, and María Rosario Salmerón Giménez, Education and Childhood Technician from the Cieza Town Council.
A total of 89 works were submitted to the competition, with Alejandro Egea Villa, Pilar Dato Gómez, María Jesús González Cuenca, Manuel Ondoño Bernal, María Dolores Pérez Gabaldón, María Piedad Giménez Molina, Francisco Javier Pérez Pastor, Inés Ruiz Martínez, Jorge Sáez Marín and Daniela Sara Vergara Castaño being the finalists.

The awards and diploma presentation will take place on April 25th at the Esquina del Convento, taking advantage of the activities scheduled for the Regional Book Fair.
