Pascual Lucas: "We're doing what's required of us. If the Autonomous Community is willing to keep its word, it's now or never."

The Ministry of Public Works recently hosted another meeting as part of the discussions held for the construction of the third bridge over the Segura River as it passes through Cieza. The meeting was attended by the Councilors for Urban Planning and Tourism, and Agriculture, Francisco Saorín and Antonio Moya, respectively, accompanying the Mayor, Pascual Lucas.

For the councilor, "we must be positive about the construction of an infrastructure, whose demand is already historic, so necessary for our municipality. We have complied with everything the councilor requested of us; now it's their turn to act."

Following the latest meetings with Pedro Antonio Sánchez, former president of the Autonomous Community, the previous Minister of Public Works, and the Director General of Roads and Infrastructure, the work carried out over this period has now been finalized: "We agreed that the bridge would begin construction when we received the land necessary to carry it out, and here it is. Pending the final purchase, we submitted the preliminary agreement between the owners of the land," stated Pascual Lucas.

The mayor concluded by stating that "this councilor is expected to fulfill the commitments made by the previous minister. The third bridge for Cieza is now even more necessary. We need infrastructure improvements so that this has an impact on the improvement of tourism and agriculture in the municipality."
