Canarian singer-songwriter Pedro Guerra will perform a concert in the courtyard of the Atalaya-Ateneo Club in Cieza, as part of his new tour, "Pedro Guerra sings to Ángel González," this Friday, June 1, at 10 p.m.
The Canarian musician wanted to pay tribute to the Asturian poet of the Generation of '50, Prince of Asturias Award for Literature, who passed away 10 years ago. The Word in the Air, a book-length CD in which Pedro set Ángel González's poems to music, is a collaboration between Pedro singing and Ángel reciting. A gem, a work that was released in 2003 and has been out of print for years. However, he has managed to get it reissued (only the CD), but not in stores; it will only be sold at the concerts on the tour.
