The Department of Transparency has launched the "Transparent Associations 2018" Plan, which specifies basic guidelines so that all organizations that receive money from the City Council assume the responsibility of being transparent with those funds, starting with Aguas de Cieza, Proecisa (formerly Promociones Empresariales) and Radio Cieza, as companies with municipal capital (between 51% and 100%) or the New Los Albares Foundation and continuing with the various groups that manage municipal money through subsidies and therefore all the citizens of Cieza.
All of them have received the necessary documentation and will have until September to make their transparency information available to everyone on their websites.
After this period, the Department of Transparency will publish the indicators on its website showing the level of transparency achieved by each of them.
Any entity that receives municipal funds must maintain transparency by publishing basic information, such as the president and board of directors, their term of office, the location of their registered office, telephone numbers, email address, website, financial and administrative information such as the use of municipal funds, approved bylaws, meeting notices, directors' salaries, if any, etc., always in compliance with the Data Protection Law.
Likewise, any association or foundation that voluntarily joins the project will be evaluated and will be featured in the press and on the municipal website with its transparency index.
In Gual's words, "The intention of this City Council is for Cieza to be a model of transparency in all its aspects. We have reached the top positions in the region and now we must be a model for other city councils to follow by demanding transparency for our participating associations and companies."
