Here's the program of activities for this month of May organized by the Siyâsa Museum and the Department of Museums, to celebrate our museum's anniversary and Museum Day.

Day 16, Tuesday: Opening of the exhibition of municipally owned vinyl records from the defunct local radio station Radio Cieza at the Siyâsa Museum.Day 18, Thursday: International Museum Day.
Conference "THE PREHISTORIC ARCHAEOLOGY OF LOS ALMADENES. NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN PALEOLITHIC AND NEOLITHIC RESEARCH" by Joaquín Lomba Maurandi, PhD in Prehistory and Professors at the UMU (University of Murcia) and Ignacio Martín-Lerma, Archaeology.

Day 20, Saturday: Museum Day and Night:

The program begins at 11:00 a.m. with an exhibition of Latin American artists entitled "Naturae," held outside the Efe Serrano Gallery, using San Sebastián Street as the exhibition space. A dramatized tour of the Siyâsa Museum will begin at the same time.

At 12:00 noon, various Cieza artists will perform collective exhibitions at the Teodoro del Cebollo Museum. Half an hour later, there will be an accordion concert. Volunteers from the OJE Cieza Guide Home will be hosting a snack on the outdoor terrace.

6:30 p.m., live music at the Siyâsa Museum: "Flutes, saxophones, and clarinets." All accompanied by the celebration of the Islamic tea ceremony.

7:30 p.m. theatrical visit at the Folklore Center.

The Cieza Holy Week House-Museum will open its doors to Cieza-born soprano Sacramento Avellaneda, who will perform a recital at 8:30 p.m. accompanied by Pedro Fermín Guardia on piano.

9:30 p.m. concert by guitarist Carlos Piñana at the Siyâsa Museum.

Concert by the Cieza-based group Mama Surf at the Esparto Museum at 11:00 p.m.

The Conjuring Room of the Hermitage of San Bartolomé and the tower of the Basilica of the Assumption will be open until midnight.

Day 25, Thursday: To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the inauguration of the Municipal Archaeological Museum, which opened its doors at number 11 Calle Cadenas on May 25, 1987, the conference "HISTORY OF THE OLIVE MILLS OF CIEZA" will be offered by Joaquín Salmerón Juan, director of the Historical Heritage Service of the Cieza City Council.

Day 26, FridayWe will close the May program with the opening of the exhibition of DRAWING AND PAINTING works from the Popular University of Cieza.
