Trip organized in collaboration with the General Directorate of Environment and Mar Menor.

The trip began at 8:00 a.m., departing from the Plaza de las Cortes Españolas on a bus with women from the municipality bound for San Pedro del Pinatar.

Once there, we proceeded to visit the San Pedro del Pinatar Visitor Center, where the traditional method of salt extraction and its uses were explained.

Following this visit, a short excursion was made to the Mar Menor and San Pedro del Pinatar salt flats, where the traditional method of collecting water and obtaining salt was demonstrated.

This was followed by a boat trip across the Mar Menor. During this trip, the guide, who accompanied the group throughout the visit, explained to the participants the volcanic origin of the Mar Menor islands, as well as their use and ownership.
