Once again this year, the Board of Passion Brotherhoods of Cieza is holding the Holy Week Drawing Contest to encourage artistic creation in the fields of painting and drawing.
The XXIII Cieza Holy Week Regional Drawing Competition 2019 is convened in accordance with the following RULES:
1. All schoolchildren who wish to participate may do so (Public Schools, private schools, special education centers, open classrooms…), without limitation of sex, nationality or place of residence, according to the following categories:
a) Students of Early Childhood Education 5 years, students of 1st and 2nd grade of Primary Education.
b) Students in the 3rd and 4th grades of Primary Education.
c) Students in 5th and 6th grade of Primary Education.
2. The theme of the paintings will be "Holy Week", "Take care of your Holy Week" or "Holy Week in Cieza".
3. Submitted works must be original and unpublished. Works that have been previously published in newspapers, catalogs, posters, online, or any other type of publication, as well as those that have won prizes in other competitions, will not be accepted.
4. Characteristics of the Works: Paintings or drawings (free technique). A4 size. The Works will be made on the paper and format that the Board of Passion Brotherhoods of Cieza will provide to the Educational Centers, stating, on the back, the details of the Author and on the front the course.
5. Each student may submit an unlimited number of works to the competition.
6. The deadline for submitting works is Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. Works may be submitted to:

7. A Jury appointed for this purpose, whose composition will be made public at the time of the Decision issued, will make a preliminary selection from among all the works submitted in accordance with Rules 2, 3 and 4. From among all the selected works, the Jury will award the following PRIZES, by category.
-FIRST PRIZE,
-SECOND PRIZE,
-THIRD PRIZE
In addition, a special prize will be awarded among all the drawings from children in special education centers and open classrooms that participate in the competition.
Once the preliminary selection has been made, the prizes could be declared void if the number of works competing for them is considered not representative and if, in that case, none of those submitted meet, in the opinion of the Jury, the conditions to be awarded them.
8. The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 9th, at 6:00 PM in the Cajamurcia Cultural Center, where the jury will announce its decision. Students whose works have been selected must attend. (Their names will be communicated to the schools by that same morning).
9. The Board of Passion Brotherhoods reserves the right to publicize the award in various media outlets, and the names and images of both applicants and winners may appear. The reproduction and use of the winning works is the sole and exclusive prerogative of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods of Cieza, which reserves the exclusive right to use and publicly reproduce them as often as it deems appropriate.
10. The author of the winning works agrees not to use them in any way without the authorization of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods during the period between the date of publication of the Judgment and September 30, 2019 (otherwise, the corresponding Prize will be annulled in all its terms and consequences). After this period, any contestant who lends the winning painting for any other publications or exhibitions must indicate this circumstance at the bottom of the publication or exhibition. Ownership of the winning works will pass to the Board of Passion Brotherhoods of Cieza.
11. The Jury's decision will be final. Any circumstance not foreseen in these Rules will also be resolved in a final and unappealable manner by the Jury, after hearing the opinion of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods of Cieza.
12. Participation in this contest implies acceptance of its Rules, the Jury and its decision, as well as the use and dissemination of the child's image at the awards ceremony.
13. The personal data of the participants will be incorporated into a file, being treated in a totally confidential manner in compliance with article 60 of the Regulation of development of Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the protection of personal data, approved by Royal Decree 1720/2007, of December 21 and in article 12. 2 a of Royal Decree 428/1993 of March 26, in force in accordance with the provisions of the third transitional provision of the aforementioned Organic Law 15/1999 and may only be used for the strict fulfillment of the functions derived from the call, as well as to publicize the contest and the result thereof.
