A story from here. Political chronicle (2014-2019) It chronicles the political life of the Region of Murcia from December 2013, when Ramón Luis Valcárcel announced his departure and initiated the succession process, launching the "Pedro Antonio Sánchez Plan." This political term was marked by numerous legal issues.
For over five years, the People's Party and its government in the Autonomous Community have been at the forefront of, or witnessed, events of great importance to our contemporary history. Now, an intense legislative term has come to an end, one that cut short the political career of President Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and which is recounted in this book from the perspective of... Manuel Ponce.
Alongside the events in our region over the last five years, we have witnessed tremendously interesting situations across the country, events that have been difficult to ignore. President Mariano Rajoy was forced to leave office after a motion of no confidence succeeded for the first time in our history. With him, perhaps, an entire generation passed away. A cycle within the People's Party came to an end, ushering in the era of Pablo Casado and Teodoro García. These were the years in which the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) underwent its own catharsis with the abrupt expulsion of Pedro Sánchez from the general secretaryship and the party leadership, and his subsequent rise from obscurity to reach La Moncloa (the Prime Minister's residence). The PSOE lost its hegemony in Andalusia following the collapse of Susana Díaz and the rise of Vox. This legislative term was marked by historic milestones, such as the abdication of King Juan Carlos I in favor of his son, Felipe VI. And, above all, a period marked by the blow to democracy dealt in Catalonia by the separatists who wanted to end the constitutional order.
