Excellent news for the family and the entire force searching for Manuel Guardiola since Holy Wednesday afternoon. At around 11:10 a.m., the Civil Guard helicopter participating in the search located the elderly man on a rural path upriver from where he was last known to be, very close to the area of the Puente de los Nueve Ojos (Nine Eyes Bridge).
The elderly man was found in good condition and taken by medical personnel to the Hospital de la Vega Lorenzo Guirao in Cieza, where he has been admitted for further physical improvement.
The Civil Guard, Cieza Local Police, Firefighters, and personnel from the Red Cross ERIE (Emergency Emergency Response Team), as well as members of the Cieza Assembly, participated in the search efforts. Cieza Civil Protection also participated in the search efforts throughout the night, along with colleagues from Murcia and Aledo with their canine unit.
