At approximately 9:20 p.m. on June 26, we received a call from the Civil Guard's COS informing us that a hit-and-run incident involving the offending vehicle had occurred in the Ascoy area near a fruit warehouse.

We quickly arrived at the scene and found that a suspected hit-and-run had occurred, and the victim, a man, was lying on the ground underneath a parked refrigerated truck trailer with serious injuries to his left leg.

A UME then arrived and treated the injured person, stabilizing him and transferring him to the Emergency Department of the La Vega Lorenzo Guirao Hospital in Cieza.

We began investigations to clarify the facts, verifying that several witnesses provided us with the characteristics of the vehicle that caused the accident, as well as that the accident was allegedly intentional: "apparently the injured man had been run over by what could be his girlfriend and to avoid being hit again he took refuge under the truck's refrigerated trailer (...) that the driver began to flee, leaving the scene (...)".

In light of these events, the appropriate steps are being taken to locate the alleged perpetrator, with results, and she has been arrested by this Local Police as the alleged perpetrator of attempted homicide and damage to a vehicle.

The woman was taken to the Cieza Civil Guard Barracks to be brought before a court.
