Municipal sources report that the special cleaning team deployed by the Department of Circular Economy for the fair was fully engaged this Monday afternoon to leave the Paseo Ribereño in perfect condition after the rice and rabbit gastronomic event, a recreational activity that brought hundreds of members of clubs and associations to this area next to the Segura River as it passes through Cieza.
By early evening, the aforementioned sources confirmed, the area was perfectly clean and tidy.
Added to these efforts was the unexpected need to redouble efforts due to the forecast of heavy rains expected this week in Cieza. The yellow and orange alerts issued by the authorities based on AEMET announcements made it necessary to clear, clean, and re-surface every square meter of the boulevards that crisscross the town center.
Finally, all these efforts have been complemented by cleanup activities in Ascoy and waste container sites in rural areas, such as the intersection of El Ginete and El Acho.
