The Brotherhood of the Blessed Virgin of Sorrows, for the benefit of Afacmur, organizes the Solidarity Walk “Alberto Lucas Alarcón Memorial” on February 22nd.
On Saturday, February 22nd, at 11:00 a.m., the first Solidarity Walk, organized by the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Sorrows in collaboration with the Cieza City Council, will depart from the corner of the Convent. The proceeds will benefit the Association of Families of Children with Cancer of the Region of Murcia (Afacmur).
Registration for the event will take place through the website of the Murcian Athletics Federation www.famu.es Registration is open until Thursday, February 20th, for a cost of €5. Upon reaching the finish line, each participant will receive a commemorative gift. Anyone aged 8 or older, or who will turn 8 in 2020, is welcome to participate. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The "Alberto Lucas Alarcón Memorial" Solidarity Walk, a non-competitive 5.5-kilometer route, will start and finish at the Convent Corner. Along the way, it will pass through the Riverside Promenade and the Ronda Promenade, key locations for admiring and enjoying the Cieza Flowering Festival.
