The municipal government will allocate a €400,000 loan to aid the retail and hospitality industry. An Extraordinary Plenary Session will be held for its approval, which will also include a €145,000 increase in the allocation for food and basic necessities.

The Government team will present a budget amendment to the Plenary Session for the amount of 660,000 euros, of which 400,000 euros will be allocated to aid small businesses and hospitality industries that are suffering the severe economic consequences caused by the pandemic. Likewise, the allocation for food and basic necessities will be supplemented by 145,000 euros, 25,000 euros will be allocated to continue disinfecting the streets of our City, and an additional 95,000 euros will be allocated for protective materials and the adaptation of municipal buildings to the new reality in order to begin their reopening with the greatest possible guarantees. This provision of credits is possible thanks to the sound financial management carried out by the government team, and especially given that the 2019 financial year ended with a positive Cash Balance and compliance with all budgetary stability parameters.

The Municipal Government once again demonstrates its commitment to our city's commerce and hospitality industries, as a key sector for economic development. Therefore, it plans to launch a campaign to support the commerce and hospitality industries, so that they can recover as quickly as possible from the current situation of declining or nonexistent revenue.

Likewise, the governing team remains firmly committed to serving the most vulnerable families in our city, who have been hit hard by the pandemic we are currently experiencing. With an increase of more than €145,000 in the budget allocated to this group, we are ensuring that no one is left without the necessary care.

Finally, the governing team is confident that the proposed credit modification can be approved with the unanimous support of all council members.
