An earthquake occurred in Cieza early Monday morning, with no reported personal or property damage.

According to the National Geographic Institute, the quake struck at 12:34 a.m., measuring 1.7 on the Richter scale, its epicenter was northeast of Cieza, and its hypocenter was located 7 kilometers deep.

IGN also indicates that the earthquake was not felt by the population.
