Early Wednesday morning, at 3:20 a.m., an earthquake struck Cieza, causing no damage.

The National Geographic Institute reports that the earthquake occurred west of Cieza, with its hypocenter located at a depth of 1 kilometer. It also indicates that its magnitude was 2.4 on the Richter scale.

On the other hand, it is reported that it has been felt by the population with intensity II in Cieza and in the El Horno area.
