The Ciudadanos party, through its Department of Transparency, Participation, and Public Administration, has initiated the construction of the Cieza fire station. The party's spokesperson in the municipality, Óscar Verdejo, emphasizes that this news will lead to "improved services by adapting the station to current needs."

The Cieza fire station, which has a staff of five corporals, 20 firefighters and a sergeant, also serves the municipalities of Abarán, Blanca, Archena, Ulea, Ricote, Ojós and Villanueva del Río Segura.

Verdejo points out that Ciudadanos has worked both at the municipal level and within the regional coalition government to ensure the renovation is completed as soon as possible. “This is a long-standing demand that has finally been met,” he says. The work will be carried out in two phases. “The first phase has a budget of €350,000 and is scheduled for completion in August of this year.” The building will also be furnished with new furniture. These improvements complement the acquisition of a new lightweight fire engine with water tanks of up to 2,000 liters, which was announced last December.
