ABOUT THE COMMEMORATION

One afternoon in early February 2011, during a time of social, political and economic crisis, a group of people from Cieza met for the first time to explore the possibility of opening a meeting place in Cieza where they could discuss things in a civilized and respectful manner and where dialogue, filtered through thought, would become the fundamental channel of communication to confront ideas and proposals.

For over ten years, the Forum for Thought and Dialogue has organized almost eighty events, essentially conferences, talks, round tables and debates on diverse and substantial topics, featuring specialists and thinkers of the highest level, even of international renown, who have offered us their vision and analysis of what is happening in this turbulent world of continuous change and flux.

We cannot forget those who have made it possible for the Forum to remain very much alive and diligent: our audience, the central reason for the activity; the members, some of whom are no longer with us; the speakers, who have collaborated selflessly by offering their knowledge and expertise; and all those who, in one way or another, have collaborated with their help or their resources, allowing the objectives and projects outlined in the original founding manifesto to become a reality.

With the firm determination that the Forum will continue to celebrate many more years, we conclude this commemoration with the musical performance by the Stringendo Trio, which is presented in the following PROGRAM:

Trio in C, Hob. XV:21 / J. Haydn

Adagio Pastoral-Vivace assai

Andante molto

Finale Presto
