The Board of Passion Brotherhoods of Cieza, in order to stimulate artistic creation in the field of visual representation and proceed to the selection of the Posters for Holy Week in Cieza 2023, announces this XXXV Contest in accordance with the following RULES:

1. Anyone who wishes to participate may do so, without any limitations.
.
2. The theme of the works will be FREE, but always referring to Holy Week in Cieza.
.
3. The submitted works must be unpublished. Those that could be
have been previously reproduced in the press, catalogues or any other type of
publication, as well as those that may have been presented or awarded
previously, in this or other competitions.
.
4. Characteristics of the works: COLOR or BLACK AND WHITE, in any of its techniques
and variants (photography, montage, painting, digital painting, etc.), including treatment
computer, with VERTICAL orientation, with a resolution of 254 dpi and dimensions of 50×70 cm.

5. Two forms of presentation:
• A CD/DVD or USB will be delivered including personal data and the works in
JPG or JPEG format at maximum resolution (it is not necessary to send any printed work).
• An email with the details of the works will be sent to jhp.secretaria@gmail.com and the works
in JPG or JPEG format at maximum resolution (it is not necessary to send any printed work)
or on the exchange platform www.wetransfer.com including as recipient the
same email.
The works may not be signed by their authors; a digital copy must be included in a sealed envelope, along with the author's details (title, name, address, telephone number, and email).
In case the work is a painting or other technique that cannot be delivered digitally,

6. Each author may submit a maximum of 8 works.

7. The works must be delivered in either of the two ways between Monday, October 24
and Friday, November 4, 2022; in person only Friday, November 4 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at
the Holy Week House-Museum of Cieza, C/Cánovas del Castillo no 7 – Cieza (Murcia).
Once the deadline has closed, no works will be accepted.

8. A jury appointed for this purpose, whose composition will be made public at the same time as the verdict.
issued, will make a preliminary selection of 20 works from among all the works presented
finalists (under rules 2a, 3a and 4a and the quality of their possible reproduction) for their
exhibition at the Holy Week House-Museum in Cieza between November 14 and 4

9. From among all the selected and exhibited works, the jury will award, on the designated days
according to base 10a, the following PRIZES:
• FIRST PRIZE, worth 500 euros and the publication of the Advertising Poster for
Holy Week in Cieza 2023.
• SECOND PRIZE, worth 300 euros and the publication of the Poster for the Events
of the Holy Week Proclamation of Cieza 2023.
• THIRD PRIZE, worth 200 euros and the publication of the Guide as a Poster
Events and Processions of Holy Week in Cieza 2023.
Cash prizes will not be cumulative if both coincide in one
same person.
Once the preliminary selection has been made, the Prizes and subsequent ones could be
declared void if the number of works applying for them is less than
twenty and if, in that case, none of those presented meet, in the opinion of the jury, the
conditions to be awarded the same.

10. The presentation of the finalist works will take place on Saturday, November 12, starting at
7:00 p.m. at the Holy Week House-Museum in Cieza.
The FIRST and SECOND PRIZE will be presented at the Presentation Ceremony of the
Holy Week in Cieza 2023, on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Basilica of Our Lady of
the Assumption; the awards ceremony will be held during the course of the ceremony.
THIRD PRIZE will be revealed in January at the presentation of the Guide of Events
and Processions of Holy Week in Cieza 2023; during the course of the same the
presentation of said award.

11. All works, both
the three award-winning works, as well as the finalist works; this reserves the exclusive right to
public use and reproduction as often as it deems appropriate. The Brotherhood Board
Pasionarias de Cieza will try to edit and disseminate through its various publications,
always stating the name of the author in all cases.

12. The authors of the winning works and the finalist works undertake not to make use of
any of them, nor reproduce, publish or display either completely or partially the
same without the authorization of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods of Cieza in the period
between the day of publication of the judgment and September 30, 2022 (in case

other publications or exhibitions of the winning works in this competition will state this

13. Material not referred to in base 11a will be returned to its authors through the same channel as
that was submitted, provided it is requested in writing, from the day following the closing
from the exhibition and up to one month after. After this time, the material that has not been
been removed by its authors and will become the property of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods of
Cieza.

14. The jury's decision will be final. Any circumstance not foreseen in these rules will be
also resolved in an unappealable manner by the jury, having heard the opinion of the Board of Brotherhoods
Passionflowers of Cieza. Participation in this contest implies acceptance of
its bases, as well as the jury and its decision.

15. DATA PROTECTION. All participants in the event are hereby informed of the following:
