For the second year, Cieza En Tu Mano is once again projecting and disseminating the entire Agenda of: Processions, Transfers, Schedules and Itineraries of our Holy Week, declared of National Tourist Interest.

We hope and wish for a positive Holy Week for everyone, and that bearers, Nazarenes, the public, and visitors enjoy the passion parades of our 18 brotherhoods.

PALM SUNDAY

10:00 a.m. – Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption.

Celebration of the Eucharist and Blessing of the Palms.

 

11:00 a.m.- Palm Procession (17th century).

Steps that parade: The Angel (Carrillo Marco) and the Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem (Carrillo Marco).

Route: Main Square, San Pedro, Cánovas del Castillo, Buitragos, San Sebastián, Corner of the Convent, Promenade (left bank), Salvador Seguí, Buen Suceso, Narrows, Tercia, Santo Cristo, Cánovas del Castillo, San Pedro, Main Square and Cartas.

 

6:00 p.m. - Processional transfer of the Most Holy Christ of Consolation.

Procession of the Most Holy Christ of Consolation (Christ attributed to Christopher de Salazar, Ángeles – Sánchez Lozano), from his Hermitage to the Basilica of the Assumption, accompanied by his Brotherhood, clergy, authorities, and the general public. Mass will be celebrated upon arrival.

Route: Descent from the Hermitage, Gran Vía, Road to Madrid, Cadenas, Boat, Cánovas del Castillo, San Pedro and Plaza Mayor.

 

HOLY MONDAY

9:00 p.m.- Processional Way of the Cross of the Most Holy Christ of the Blood.

Parade: Most Holy Christ of the Blood (Luis Álvarez Duarte, 2001).

Order: Banner of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods, Breaking Group with muffled drums, and Brotherhood of Saint Mary Magdalene (Banner, Guide Cross and Candlesticks, Third of Nazarenes, Third of Anderos with the Holy Christ of the Blood Step and Music Band), Clergy and people in general.

Route: Main Square, Cid, La Parra, Rincón de los Pinos, Larga, Buitragos, San Sebastián, Mesones, Cadenas, Barco, La Hoz and Main Square.

 

HOLY TUESDAY

8:30 p.m.- Departure of thrones for the Arrest.

9:00 p.m. - Performance (Plaza Mayor) and start of the Arrest Procession (18th century).

Steps: Holy Supper (García Mengual), The Prayer in the Garden (Christ and Angel – Sánchez Lozano, Apostles – Anonymous), The Arrest (Lozano Roca), Our Father Jesus of Nazareth (Ignacio Pinazo) and Roman Third of the Holy Sepulchre.

Route: Plaza Mayor, Plaza Cid, La Parra, Plaza del Comisario, Rincón de los Pinos, Larga, Buitragos, San Sebastián, Corner of the Convent, Mesones, Cadenas, Barco, Cánovas del Castillo and/or Diego Tortosa, San Pedro and Plaza Mayor.

 

HOLY WEDNESDAY

5:30 p.m. – Parade of the Children’s Tercios.

The children's floats parade: The Angel (Carrillo Marco), The Samaritan Woman (Domingo Blázquez) and The Betrayal of Judas (José María Molina Palazón).

Route: Cánovas del Castillo, Buitragos, San Sebastián, Corner of the Convent, Promenade, Santa Ana, Buen Suceso, Narrows, Tercia, Santo Cristo and Cánovas del Castillo.

 

6:30 p.m. – 'Bringing of the Saints', Transfer of Saint John from his garage to the Basilica of the Assumption.

Route: Hontana, Convent Corner, Promenade on both the right and left margins, Convent Corner, San Sebastian, Buitragos, Cánovas del Castillo, Cartas and Plaza Mayor.

7:00 p.m. – Transfer of the Santa María Magdalena Pass from the House of his Brotherhood to the House of the Saints.

Route: Cuesta de la Villa, Mesones, San Sebastian, Buitragos and Canovás del Castillo.

9:00 p.m. – General Procession (19th century).

Procession float: Our Lady of Grace and Hope (Manuel Carrillo García). Throne: Sevillian Goldsmithing (2000). Sculptor: Domingo Blázquez Carrasco (2000).

Route: Diego Tortosa, San Pedro, Plaza Mayor, Cid, La Parra, Plaza del Comisario, Rincón de los Pinos, Larga, Buitragos, San Sebastian, Corner of the Convent, Mesones, Cadenas, Barco, and Diego Tortosa.

12:00 a.m. – Procession of Silence (1931).

Parade procession: Most Holy Christ of Agony (Juan González Moreno, 1941).

Route: Chapel of the Most Holy Christ of the Agony, Plaza Mayor, Cid, La Parra, Plaza del Comisario, Rincón de los Pinos, Larga, Buitragos, San Sebastián, Corner of the Convent, Mesones, Cadenas, Barco, Hoz, Plaza Mayor and Chapel of the Most Holy Christ of the Agony.

GOOD FRIDAY

9:30 a.m. – Procession of the Penitent or Calvary (16th century).

Order: Banner of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods, The Sentence of Jesus, Our Father Jesus of Nazareth -with the Cross-, Roman Third of the Holy Sepulchre, Encounter of Jesus and Mary on the Street of Bitterness, The Fall, Saint Veronica, Jesus on Calvary, Most Holy Christ of the Expiration, The Lance, Saint Mary Magdalene, Most Holy Christ of Consolation and Most Holy Virgin of Sorrows.

Route: Main Square, San Pedro, Cánovas del Castillo, Buitragos, San Sebastián, Corner of the Convent, Promenade (left bank), Salvador Seguí, Buen Suceso, Narrows, Tercia, Santo Cristo, Cánovas del Castillo, San Pedro and Main Square.

8:30 p.m. – Procession of the Holy Burial (16th century).

Order: Banner of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods, Most Holy Christ of Forgiveness, Descent of Christ, Most Holy Virgin of Mercy, Most Holy Recumbent Christ and Most Holy Virgin of Sorrow, Our Lady of Bitterness, The Holy Women on the Way to the Sepulchre, Saint Mary Salome, Holy Cross, Joseph of Arimathea, The Holy Sepulchre, Roman Third of the Holy Sepulchre, Saint John and the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Solitude. The processional cortege is closed by the Clergy and local authorities, both civil and military, escorted by the Municipal Police of Cieza.

03:00 h. – Procession of the Descent of Christ into Hell (2001).

Parade: Jesus opening the gates of Hell (Jose Antonio Hernández Navarro, 2001).

Route: Plaza Mayor, Hoz, Descent to the river, Ascent to the river, Altozano, Plaza del Comisario, Rincón de los Pinos, Larga, Buitragos, Empedrá, Barco, Hoz, and Plaza Mayor.

5:30 p.m. – Parade of the Children’s Tercios.

Parading: The Angel, The Samaritan Woman, The Betrayal of Judas, Saint Peter, The Flagellation, Our Lady of Grace and Hope in the Resurrection, Saint Veronica, Saint Mary Salome, Saint Mary Magdalene, Our Lady of Sorrows, Jesus Resurrected, Saint John, and the Most Holy Virgin of Beautiful Love.

Route: Canovas del Castillo, Buitragos, San Sebastian, Corner of the Convent, Promenade, Salvador Seguí, Buen Suceso, Narrows, Tercia, Santo Cristo and Canovas del Castillo.

The meeting will take place at the Esquina del Convento.

 

EASTER SUNDAY

– Courtesy and Procession of the Risen Christ (17th century).

11:00 a.m. at the Corner of the Convent.

Order after the Courtesy: Banner of the Board of Passion Brotherhoods, Triumphant Angel, Risen Jesus, Saint Mary Salome, Saint Mary Magdalene, Saint Mary of Cleophas, The Appearance of Jesus to Mary Magdalene, The Disciples of Emmaus, The Ascension, Saint John, and Most Holy Virgin of Beautiful Love.
