The calendar of public holidays in the Region of Murcia for 2027 has been approved.

The Governing Council, at the proposal of the Ministry of Business, Employment and Social Economy, has approved the calendar of non-working days for labor purposes for the year 2027.

The 12 national holidays will be: January 1 (New Year's Day), January 6 (Three Kings Day), March 19 (Saint Joseph's Day), March 25 (Holy Thursday), March 26 (Good Friday), May 1 (Labor Day), August 15 (Assumption of Mary), October 12 (National Day), November 1 (All Saints' Day), December 6 (Constitution Day), December 8 (Immaculate Conception) and December 25 (Christmas Day).

There is a possibility that the autonomous communities may establish their own regional holidays at the expense of some of the national ones. In the case of the Region of Murcia, the regional holiday to be observed is June 9th, the day commemorating the promulgation of the Statute of Autonomy.

Thus, next year, Wednesday, June 9th will be celebrated as a holiday in the Region of Murcia, replacing August 16th, the Monday following Sunday, August 15th (Virgin of the Assumption).

In addition to these dates, there are two local holidays, which are designated by the municipalities. Therefore, the public holidays throughout the Region of Murcia for 2027 will be, in addition to all Sundays, the following:

• Friday, January 1 – New Year's Day
• Wednesday, January 6 – Epiphany of the Lord
• Friday, March 19 – San José
• Thursday, March 25 – Holy Thursday
• Friday, March 26 – Good Friday
• Saturday, May 1 – Labor Day
• Wednesday, June 9 – Murcia Region Day
• Tuesday, October 12 – National Holiday
• Monday, November 1 – All Saints' Day
• Monday, December 6 – Spanish Constitution Day
• Wednesday, December 8 – Immaculate Conception
• Saturday, December 25 – Nativity of the Lord

Subsequently, the 45 municipalities of the Region will determine the two days that are local holidays that are traditionally their own, thus forming the complete work calendar for next year.
