The government team is studying alternatives to installing farms in Cieza.
This week, Cieza City Council hosted a meeting with the neighborhood associations affected by the farms, the Councilor for Environment and Agriculture, Antonio Moya, and Pascual Lucas, Mayor of Cieza.
The City Council confirms that the necessary work is being carried out in the El Maripinar elm grove.
Municipal sources indicate in a press release that: "The El Maripinar elm grove is considered the most significant common elm tree formation in Europe."

This Saturday, May 5th, the 2nd Vega Alta Solidarity March will be held and organized by Banco Santander, to benefit three associations in Cieza: Ascopas in Cieza, Blanca Integra in Blanca, and the Afame association in Abarán.
May brings us the 'Rock Art Route' and the 'Archaeological Route' as part of the guided tour program.
New guided tours are coming to Cieza this May. Throughout the month, sites such as the Abrigo de los Grajos in the Sierra de Ascoy, the Cueva-Sima de La Serreta in the Almadenes Canyon, and the Islamic site of Medina Siyâsa will be visited.
