The 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center in the Murcia Region received several calls beginning at 6:01 p.m. reporting a reed and brush fire on the banks of the river near the dam in the municipality of Cieza.
The following personnel have been mobilized to the scene:
Firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium.
Local Police Patrol of the Cieza City Council.
Environmental Agent of Mula.
Land Forestry Brigade
Environmental Agent declares the fire under control at 7:30 p.m.
At 9:32 p.m. the fire was extinguished, affecting an area of 1,800 m2 of sugarcane.
