A man seriously injured after falling into an empty pool was rescued.

Emergency services have rescued and taken to the hospital a man who was seriously injured after falling into an empty swimming pool at a house in the El Elipe area, in the municipality of Cieza.

The 112 emergency service received a call from the Civil Guard (who had been contacted by the injured man's father) at 7:47 p.m. A Mobile Emergency Unit (UME) with medical personnel from the 061 Emergency and Urgent Healthcare Management was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they requested the assistance of firefighters to rescue the immobilized patient from the bottom of the pool, which was approximately 2-3 meters deep. Firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium responded and rescued the injured man, a 46-year-old. After being stabilized by the medical team, he was transported by the UME to the Lorenzo Guirao Hospital in Cieza with serious injuries.
