Emergency services rescued and transported two people to the hospital after they were injured when the car they were traveling in went off the road and fell down an embankment on the La Atalaya road in Cieza.
1-1-2 received calls reporting the accident at 5:02 a.m. They reported that the vehicle had fallen down a slope of about 4-5 meters, that the occupants were outside, injured, and that, given the steep terrain, they needed to be rescued by firefighters.
Firefighters from the Murcia Region Fire and Rescue Consortium (CEIS), local police and Civil Guard patrols, and ambulances with medical personnel from the Emergency and Urgent Care Department of the Murcia Health Service were dispatched to the scene.
After being rescued, the two injured (a 20-year-old man and woman, respectively) were stabilized by paramedics and taken to the "Lorenzo Guirao" regional hospital in Cieza. They apparently had no serious injuries.
