More than 3,300 schoolchildren from 36 educational centers in 15 municipalities of the Region of Murcia have participated in this edition convened by the Ministry of Business, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson.

The winning students received educational games, drawing materials and a certificate of participation as prizes; and the participating schools, Cristo del Consuelo School and San José Obrero School, received a certificate of participation, as well as a set of educational materials about the European Union.

In addition, the selected drawings have been used to illustrate the 'My Town, Europe 2022' calendar, which has already been distributed to educational centers and various regional and European institutions.

The girls from Cieza were received by the Secretary General of the Regional Ministry, Ana Luisa López, who presided over the awards ceremony along with the Director General of the European Union, Adrián Zittelli, who explained that “the objective is to encourage students in Early Childhood and Primary Education in the Region's schools to learn more about Europe, its institutions, the territories that comprise it and the impact it has on their municipalities and their lives, as well as to reward their vision of the European Union.”

It has undoubtedly been a wonderful experience and a great source of pride for the schools of these girls who have perfectly captured in their drawings the image of a united, borderless and peaceful Europe.
