This coming Tuesday, at 7:30 p.m. at the Atalaya Club in Cieza, there will be a discussion on "Human Rights Activism," with the participation of several groups.
Representatives from the organizations will discuss their experiences as human rights defenders in the challenging environment; the role these organizations play in countering governments' ineffectiveness or lack of willingness to ensure compliance with human rights; and how they see the immediate future of their work in their respective contexts.
