Cieza will celebrate International Museum Day

Councilor Conchi Villa presented the range of activities planned for International Museum Day this Wednesday at Siyâsa.

The various events, under the theme "Museums, Sustainability, and Well-being," will run from Thursday, May 18th to Sunday, May 21st, including a radio program, concerts, theater performances, workshops, art gatherings, guided tours, and exhibitions.

The city's museums are collaborating on the program: Siyâsa, the Esparto Museum, CAMUSESA, the Folklore Center, the Cieza Artists Association, Onda Cieza, and the Maestro Gómez Villa Conservatory.

He Siyâsa Museum offers you two unique experiences to discover the Andalusian houses that are reproduced inside with the arches and porticos found during the excavation of the medieval village.

"Being a Woman in Siyāsa," a play written by José Emilio Iniesta (Professor of Spanish Language and Literature) and performed by actress Mercedes Dato of Creadero Teatro, will be performed on the afternoons of May 18 and 19.

– The night visit to the same space in the activity called “Siyāsa by Candlelight” will consist of a guided tour of the same museum space, led by the museum director, Joaquín Salmerón Juan, as well as a short final concert, featuring the guitar of music teacher Rafael Fernández Toledo.

– FREE registration at the Siyāsa Museum from Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
