Holy Weeks of International Interest
The afternoon session of the first day of Fitur 2025 featured the presentation of the posters announcing the six Holy Week events in the region that have been declared of International Tourist Interest, along with their respective promotional videos.
The Director General of the Tourism Institute, Juan Francisco Martínez, emphasized that the Region of Murcia "has something unmatched in any other Spanish province: six Holy Week events declared of International Tourist Interest and, as if that weren't enough, six Passionate expressions, each with a distinct personality that makes them distinct from any other and different from each other."
"We therefore have a Passion that is as different as it is surprising, and the differential factor, and also the short distance between the Passion cities, represent a powerful attraction for those who wish to admire our way of living and experiencing those great days, filled with art, tradition, and sentiment," he stated.
Holy Week is one of the elements intended to consolidate the Region as a destination for thousands of visitors and tourists each year, as an essential part of a set of religious resources that involve 22 municipalities. Therefore, it is a fundamental part of the "Región de Murcia Sacra" project, which brings together this religious product and, as such, is part of the cultural and religious product of the Tourism Institute.
