World Children's Day 2025, this November 20th, is celebrated under the slogan 'Light Up for your rights' 'Light Up for the rights of children and adolescents'.

In a world that grows increasingly bleak for the fulfillment of children's rights, we cannot remain impassive; it is time to ignite our resolve to defend them. It is time to renew our commitment to children's rights in a world riddled with crises and emergencies, a world that grows ever darker for the future of children, with continuous violations of their rights. It is time to renew our commitment to children's rights.

Ignite your passion for children's rights! Every day, children live in a world shaped by decisions they haven't made, bearing the weight of the consequences of choices made by adults. And while each child's experience and circumstances are unique, all children around the world wake up with the same rights: the right to an education, to play, to be protected, to be healthy, and to develop their full potential. Children's rights are not just words on paper or distant ideals. They are a living promise, a commitment that must be renewed and fulfilled through everyday actions and investments. Renewing this promise requires more than policy changes or financial commitments. It requires empathy and courage from individuals, communities, and leaders alike. It demands that we recognize not only children's vulnerability but also their agency and their potential.

Turn off indifference. It's time to stand up, it's time to wake up, it's time to ignite a passion for Children's Rights—there is no greater or better reason. It's time to listen. Too often, children are ignored by those in power, and their concerns, perspectives, and hopes for the future are overlooked. Yet, children and adolescents are also agents of change, shaping the world around them. They care, express their opinions, organize, make proposals, create, and lead. They have hopes, dreams, and demands for a better future. Children want their voices heard, their ideas respected, and their efforts supported.
