Cieza becomes the first TEI city in the Region

Cieza has become the first TEI city in the entire region, having trained 100 % centers in bullying prevention.

For several years, most of the local schools have been participating in the TEI (peer tutoring) program, but a few were still pending enrollment. The Department of Education believed it was essential to support the training of these centers, and these schools have been receiving this pending training for a few weeks now.

Cieza thus becomes the first municipality in the region to involve all schools in the fight against bullying.

But the TEI program is not just about training. Throughout the school year, led by the Department of Education and coordinated by Manolo García, they carry out a multitude of dynamics and activities inside and outside the classroom, with the aim of raising awareness among students about the importance of respecting their classmates and the need to share anything that makes them feel uncomfortable.

María Ramos stated that "becoming schools into safe environments for students is one of our main goals, which is why we have committed to training our teachers and providing the necessary resources so that schools feel supported and can implement tools to combat bullying and peacefully resolve conflicts. It's exciting to have seen the response from teachers and to have been able to train 100% schools, thus making us the first TEI city in the Region. Thank you and congratulations to all the teachers, especially our coordinator, Manolo García, for their determined commitment to developing this program."
