José Marín School develops initiatives that contribute to environmental protection.

Throughout the school year, the D. José Marín school is developing initiatives that contribute to environmental care through its participation in the ESENRED program of the Ministry of Education and Culture. To this end, some of its teachers are receiving specific training through Naturaliza (ecoembes) with the goal of incorporating an environmental perspective into the curriculum and instilling in students knowledge, skills, and values related to the environment, as well as encouraging them to take action to promote a more sustainable world.

An example of this is the creation of an environmental committee made up of teachers, parents, and students. They have agreed on initiatives such as: zero plastic at "El Fatego" (we use eco-friendly, reusable packaging), recycling school supplies containing plastic (we have containers and are also a collection point), and promoting the school garden as a learning tool and ecological model. Furthermore, this week, in honor of Peace Day, various activities were held under the slogan "CBM D. José Marín" in Peace with the Environment; "All under the Same Sun," since the first step toward achieving Peace is acquiring values such as responsibility, commitment, and a critical and entrepreneurial attitude that leads to action.

For this reason, the first-year students wanted to show their commitment to the planet by going on an outing to collect some of the trash we throw into our ecosystems, endangering their biodiversity and our own well-being. We would like to express our gratitude for the support and collaboration we receive daily from our students and families to make this project a reality.

THANK YOU ALL!!
