Officers from the Cieza Local Police, in collaboration with the city's Civil Guard, participated in the operation dubbed "Reload," which was declared closed after several months of investigation and arrests.
It began between February and March with various drug seizures in several police interventions, all of them pointing to a house in the town of Cieza as the starting point and important center for the retail sale of narcotics.
One of the seizures was carried out by local police officers involving nearly 200 doses of cocaine.
For its part, the Civil Guard seized approximately 3 kilograms of marijuana buds for manipulation into doses, 51 packets of cocaine, and 13 doses of marijuana. As a result of the various actions included in the operation, on May 1, two raids were carried out on homes in Cieza and Torreaguera. The first involved the Local Police Canine Unit, resulting in the seizure of narcotics and the dismantling of two indoor cannabis grow rooms and a drug sales point.
The operation resulted in four arrests. Those arrested, residents of the towns of Cieza and Torreagüera, are alleged to be responsible for one count of drug trafficking, one count of assault, one count of threats and coercion, one count of animal abuse, and two counts of electricity fraud and similar offenses.
The total seized and intervened in these searches were 110 doses of cocaine totaling 37 grams, 101 marijuana plants, and the seizure of 169 doses of 0.20 grams of cocaine and 21 of 0.50 grams.
This chapter is part of the long history of collaboration that both bodies have maintained for years, with perfect coordination in various areas.
